HOW TO ENTER SAFE MODE IN WINDOWS 8

Hi all,

Last time, a friend of mine needed me to remove his Avira Antivirus from his system, now on Uninstalling it, i got a bad alert that the system will restart, i tried it the second time after restarting, but still the same thing…..Now i decided to enter the safe mode, thinking i’ll use the same as that of Windows 7 and XP by pressing F9 while booting but it didn’t work!
So i went into google, wao, i found a solution.

PROCEDURES ON HOW TO ENTER SAFE MODE IN WINDOWS 8

  • Boot your System, press the Windows button on your keyboard (ie the Start Menu button) and type or search for Command Prompt
  • Right click and below the screen, choose Run as administrator, confirm yes to the dialog box you’ll see
  • Now in the command line where you type in your command, type this:

Bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu yes

This will display boot menu option anytime  you boot your system, if you want to remove it, kindly change yes to no

Bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu no

When you are done, restart your system and press F8, then press 4 or F4 to choose to enter safe mode

 Hope it helps! :)
